Materials

  • - 4 large turkey wings
  • - 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • - 1 large onion sliced
  • - 4 cloves garlic minced
  • - 2 cups chicken broth
  • - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • - 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • - Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and turkey wings. Sear the wings on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the wings to a baking dish.
  • In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the onion mixture, stir to combine, and cook for another minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Add the smoked paprika, thyme, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the turkey wings in the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the turkey wings are tender.
  • Remove from the oven and stir in the heavy cream into the sauce. Adjust salt to taste.
