For the Mashed Potatoes:

- - 1/2 cup milk
- - 4 tablespoons butter
- - Salt and pepper to taste

- - 1 medium onion diced
- - 2 cloves garlic minced
- - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- - 2 cups beef broth
- - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- - Optional: 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
Boil the Potatoes:
- Place the peeled and quartered potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
