This wonderful Walking Taco Casserole dish is a hit in our house, with layers of spicy seasoned ground beef or chicken, doritos or corn chips, sour cream, cheese, and refried beans in a delicious taco bake that the entire family enjoys.
Ingredients:
1 C. Onion chopped
3 oz. Cream cheese
1 Packet taco seasoning
1 Can green chilis
2-3 C. Fritos corn chips
1 C. Shredded taco blend cheese
1 Roma tomato chopped
1-2 C. Shredded lettuce
Salsa and sour cream for garnish.
How To Make Walking Taco Casserole:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Put the ground beef and onion in an oven-safe pan over medium-high heat on the stove. Saute until the beef is browned and the onions are tender.
Sauté the taco seasoning, green chilies, and cream cheese in the skillet until the cream cheese is fully melted and mixed.
Top with corn chips, followed by the shredded cheese.
Bake for twenty minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and garnish with shredded lettuce and tomato.
Garnish with salsa and sour cream if desired.
