Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken livers
- 2 cups chopped mushrooms
- 250 ml fresh cream
- 1 tbsp sundried tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp seven colours grill seasoning
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Brown the Chicken Livers:
- Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chicken livers and brown them for about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the browned livers to a plate and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In the same pan, add the chopped onions and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
- Stir in the sundried tomatoes, paprika, ground cumin, seven colours grill seasoning, chilli flakes, and mixed herbs.
- Pour in the fresh cream and let the mixture simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Combine and Cook:
- Return the browned chicken livers to the pan.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook everything together for 10 to 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the livers to cook through.
- Serve:
- Serve the spicy chicken livers with mushrooms hot, perhaps with rice, bread, or a side salad.
