Ingredients:
- 8 cups Crispix cereal
- 2 cups pecan halves, salted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and salted pecan halves.
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal and pecans, mixing until evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, spread onto wax paper to cool, then break into pieces.
