I just brought these Honey-Glazed Baby Back Ribs out of the oven, and my kitchen smells delicious! Ideal for a relaxing night in.
Ingredients
– 3 pounds baby back ribs (2 slabs)
– 1 medium white onion (sliced)
– Sweet BBQ Rub:
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 1 tbsp paprika
– 1 tsp ground black pepper
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
– Glaze:
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Place ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the Sweet BBQ Rub in a bowl. Rub generously onto both sides of the ribs.
3. Place sliced onions on top of the ribs. Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until ribs are tender.
4. While the ribs are baking, mix all the ingredients for the glaze in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the mixture reduces by half, about 15 minutes.
5. Remove ribs from oven and increase oven temperature to 450°F (230°C). Remove the top piece of foil and brush the ribs with the glaze.
6. Return to the oven uncovered, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized.
7. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
