This French Kiss cocktail is a sophisticated and understated sparkling drink that has the ideal hue and sweetness.
Do you know what you just need on occasion? bubbly. Fortunately, we usually always keep a bottle (or two) of prosecco or cava on hand specifically for such kinds of events. My handsome hubby is aware that his first thought when I’m depressed is, “Bubbly?” And thus the French Kiss was born, because I also adore Chambord!
This week has definitely called for some bubbly. plus unique bubbly. Please understand that I like a mimosa at any time of day. That being said, we wanted something a little more sophisticated for this particular evening. Thus, we added a small amount of raspberry-flavored liquor, Chambord.
We thus had what we called a “French Kiss”—a glass of bubbly with a tiny dash of Chambord for color (because it’s a strong-flavored liquor). For me, that was sufficient since bubbly is associated with special events, New Years, midnight kisses, Chambord, and France.
Alternatively, French Kiss cocktail, since the Chambord perfectly ‘kisses’ the bubbly. 🙂
In any case, this is a simple, beautiful, and fast little drink. Perfect for a celebration, New Year’s Eve, or just a night of bubbles, cuddles, popcorn, and a movie, it’s the perfect way to cap off a very demanding and long week!
