Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Olive oil, for frying
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Place the fried chicken in the prepared baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
