Ingredients
– 1 pound deli turkey, thinly sliced
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 4 large pita breads
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tablespoon mustard
– 1/2 cup lettuce, chopped
– 1 tomato, sliced
– 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
– Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and mustard.
3. Cut pita breads in half to create pockets. Spread the inside of each pocket with the mayonnaise-mustard mixture.
4. Layer deli turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion inside each pita pocket.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Wrap each pita pocket in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pita is warm.
8. Serve immediately.
